The Beginning of Latanwood

Rıza Esirgence, born in 1967 in Ankara, spent his childhood in the workshop of his father, Arif Esirgence, a master woodcarver. As his father aged and due to his growing interest in woodworking, he and his older brother stepped into the craft at the age of 12 in their family workshop.

Together with his brother, they continued their father’s work as carpenters for many years in the Siteler district of Ankara. Throughout this journey, Rıza Esirgence created countless designs and woodworking masterpieces, and since 1979, he has been practicing his craftsmanship with solid wood in the same workshop.

Following in his footsteps, his sons not only developed an interest in carpentry but also pursued interior architecture and design education due to their passion for design. Because they integrated both design and production within their brand philosophy, they aimed for perfectionism.
With their technical education completed, the younger generation furthered their studies abroad and eventually established the Latanwood brand by curating their own woodworking collections. Today, the company operates with numerous designers and interior architects.

Latanwood is currently active in manufacturing solid wood furniture and custom designs. It has always been a top choice for those seeking furniture beyond the standard.

Ramazan Bey, Rıza Esirgence’s son, now leads the company. He provides architectural services for many interior and exterior projects. Additionally, due to his deep love for animals, he has contributed to the production of numerous dog houses.

Since 1967, Latanwood has been combining quality and aesthetics in solid wood furniture and custom designs, adding value to your living spaces with interior and exterior projects.
